SC Aesthetics Training Academy FAQs

What is the cost of the foundation course?

The total cost of the course is £995. The cost includes VAT and covers both the toxin and dermal filler training. All refreshments and lunch are provided on the day. A deposit of £200 is required upon booking with the balance due 7 days before the course. If you would like only training in one discipline (Toxin OR Filler) then the cost for this would £550 and the course would last half a day.

Where does the training take place?

The training is held at Will Murphy Dentistry, 51 Newhall Street, Birmingham, B3 3QR. It is easily accessible via train, bus and car. Snowhill train station is a 5 minute walk away and on street (payable) parking is available and there is an NCP on Newhall street. Accommodation is also available close to the venue should you wish to stay overnight.

Which Toxin and Filler products will I be trained in?

We use Azzalure Botulinum Toxin A and the Teosyal and Restylane range of dermal fillers.

Will I get to see live demonstrations? Do I need to bring my own model?

Yes there will be live demonstrations on the day. Yes, we can provide models for you to practice on however, should you wish to bring your own model then please contact us a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the training course.

How many people will be attending the training course?

In order to ensure you get the best out of the training course we limit the course to 5 students per course. This enables you to have one to one training when practising your injecting skills on live models.

Will I be insured to inject on the day of the course?

Yes. You will not require to purchase any additional insurance for the training course.

When can I start injecting on my own patients?

On successful completion of the training course you will be awarded with an SC Aesthetics training academy certificate. This is recognised by the UK’s largest insurance company; Hamilton Fraser, and will allow you to get insured. Once insured you are able to practice your skills that you have learned on the training course and develop your business.

Do you offer one to one mentorship?

Starting a new venture can be daunting, that’s why we have put together a package for helping you along with this. We can offer one to one mentoring either with business development or procedural support and supervision on your own patients. Please speak to us directly so we can discuss your specific requirements and put together a package for you.

Which qualifications do I need to attend the course?

You will need to be a medically qualified professional; either a registered doctor, dentist, nurse or midwife and be able to prove your registration with your governing body (GMC, GDC, NMC). It is desirable to have been working in your chosen field for at least 12 months before applying for the course and also to have no active medico-legal complaints.

I’m a non-prescribing nurse, can I still train in facial aesthetics?

Yes you can, providing you are fully qualified as above. We work closely with Aesthetics Associates who help non-prescribers find a prescribing nurse to work alongside. Their details can be found in the other information section
